Neil Saunders already had 10 years experience in the diamond industry when he opened his company in Atlanta in 1988. Previous years as a diamond cutter and assorter for a site holder in New York followed by selling to diamond wholesalers in major US cities had brought him to Atlanta many times. Business was always good here, and after working as the diamond buyer for a major jewelry chain, he decided to come back to Atlanta and stay.
Over the next 15 years Neil Saunders Diamonds serviced over 300 retail stores in the East and Southeast with loose diamonds, diamond earrings and engagement rings. Gina and Todd assisted Neil with the wholesale accounts and Nef made the jewelry. Over time, fabrication became more elaborate and the pieces larger. The buying, which began in Belgium, continued on to Israel and India in pursuit of the best for the least.
Five years ago a beautiful showroom was opened where private sales and purchases could be made and custom design was added to the mix. With diamond selection from Neil and designer direction from Debbie, custom engagement rings, wedding bands, necklaces, bracelets and earrings are in steady production.
An ever-changing inventory of high-end watches and vintage jewelry is always on hand. We carry pre-owned Rolex, Cartier, Brietling, Patek Phillip and Tag. Our in-house watch expert is Todd. Because we are very selective in our purchasing, all of our watches are in pristine condition, fine working order and come with a warranty.
